NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery is set to showcase the innovative works of Frédérique Négrié in the exhibition "Pathways." The event will run from September 26, 2017, to October 17, 2017, with an opening reception on Thursday, September 28, from 6-8 pm.
Frédérique Négrié, known artistically as "Fredneg," masterfully blends graphic design, painting, music, and performance to create immersive experiences. Her work challenges conventional definitions of art by merging various styles and mediums. From music to painting, sculpture, and photography, Fredneg's creations are a vibrant collection of digital paintings that evoke the essence of both natural and urban landscapes, reminiscent of French Impressionism. Her art transforms spaces into symphonies of light and form, transporting viewers to otherworldly realms.
Fredneg's artistic journey began with musical theory and classical piano, which she started studying at the tender age of six. Since 2010, she has focused on multimedia installations that explore artistic and cultural transitions and mediations.
The "Pathways" exhibition will feature works from a diverse group of artists, including:
"Pathways" is a group exhibition that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality. It showcases the works of twelve artists, exploring how various media—paintings, sculptures, digital compositions, photography, and multimedia collages—can intertwine the everyday with the ethereal, resulting in dynamic compositions.
Digital art has seen a significant rise in popularity and acceptance in recent years. According to a report by Statista, the global digital art market was valued at approximately $2.92 billion in 2020 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.1% from 2021 to 2028. This growth is driven by the increasing adoption of digital platforms and the rising interest in digital art forms.
Fredneg's work is a testament to the evolving landscape of art, where traditional boundaries are continually being redefined. Her ability to fuse different artistic disciplines into cohesive and captivating pieces makes her a standout in the contemporary art scene.
