About the Exhibition

Chelsea International Fine Art Competition Exhibition

This August, Agora Gallery presents the selected artists of the 2017 Chelsea International Fine Art Competition. The exhibition showcases an incredible variety of works, each demonstrating extraordinary skill and creativity. From precise, minimalist drawings to exuberant, playful sculptures, the range of art on display is vast. Monochrome graphic paintings exploring repetition are juxtaposed with hyper-realistic still lifes inspired by classical art. The exhibition also features imagined landscapes and poignant human moments that resonate with authenticity. Even the landscape photographers defy easy comparison, with some presenting stoic black-and-white images of solitary trees, while others offer expansive, full-color vistas. The 2017 jurors' selections are united by their fearlessness, technical prowess, and unforgettable originality.
