If you are living in your own home or apartment and aren’t subject to the decoration whims of something else, then deciding what kind of candle holder to get could be just as serious as deciding what colour to paint your walls or whether you’re going to get a cat or a dog. It is a big deal, make no mistake. You cannot get something that is going to be too kitschy or something that it going to be too overt.

I brushed them off and left the store without getting any. Then what do you know, later that week we got a power outage and I was sitting there in the dark. I couldn’t even find a flash light because I had no idea where they were and it was too dark to find them. Everyone knows where a stove is though and all it takes is the heat from a stove top to light up a match and then you’re set to find a candle and light it up for some light.

They tried to tell me how important it was to have candles, and I ignored them and ended up paying for it in the end. Well you can be sure that the next day I went out to the store to find a few candles that went with my wall paper and my paint job, and then I went and got a candle holder set which fully complemented the candles I bought and the house over all. This is something that you can’t ignore. It is something that you really need to pay attention to because it can be one of the most important visual aspects of a household.

The candle is not an extinct relic of a bygone age. It is true that with electric light we no longer need them as much as we did a long time ago, or before the invention of electricity, but because of how integral they were to the household in the olden times, they are still an important element of our culture. Because of this they need to be preserved and having a candle stick holder set around is a perfect way of keeping the candle relevant.
