A large, new funding deal is announced between Aesthetic Cosmetic and Sterling Trade Finance.
Aesthetic Cosmetic , who specialises in selling Disney branded products including Frozen, Cinderella and the new Star Wars franchise, as well as Minions, Angry Birds and Candy Crush to the major high street chains has just announced a large new funding deal with specialist financiers Sterling Trade Finance which they hope will significantly boost sales potential over the vital Christmas trading period.
High profile license themed products are particularly popular as Christmas gifts and popular sales lines will include anything from Fragrances through to Bath and Body products, so Aesthetic Cosmetic’s challenge was to fund the payment of high volumes of stock which will be sold over a very short time period. If a particular line sells well, the company will react quickly, buying more to maximise sales potential. Financing volatile and high volume throughput such as this often requires a level of flexibility which banks cannot deliver, so companies such as Aesthetic Cosmetic have to find alternative sources of trade finance.
Sterling Trade Finance offers a worldwide funding service to licensees, distributors and retailers ranging from £5,000 to £1million plus. Their flexible facilities are designed to support the financing of international trade through the whole supply chain. Steve Pleace, Operations Director, Sterling Trade Finance, said “We are well placed to react far quicker than a traditional bank and we offer a much higher level flexibility when we make a financing decision. That ability to react quickly, to increase a funding facility at short notice, so the importers can focus on what they do best is key to ours and their success.”
