Discover the joy of creating edible art with this simple and delightful chocolate modeling clay recipe. Perfect for family activities, this recipe not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also provides a fun, hands-on experience for children and adults alike. Plus, chocolate contains mood-enhancing compounds that can boost your sense of well-being. So, let's celebrate the goodness of chocolate!
Melt the chocolate chips in the top half of a double boiler. Stir in the corn syrup until well combined.
Using a wide-mouth jar as a stand, place the zip-top bag inside, ensuring the top edges of the bag drape over the outside of the jar. Pour the melted chocolate into the bag and seal it. Let it cool.
Once cooled, knead the chocolate until it is well mixed, smooth, and clings together. If the consistency is too hard, add a few drops of water to soften it.
Spray nonstick cooking spray on the counter, rolling pin, cookie cutters, and your hands. As you knead the clay, the warmth from your hands will make it smooth and satiny. Use the rolling pin and cookie cutters to shape and sculpt your creations.
Store the chocolate clay in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
