Canadian pharmacy reveals that diseases of different kinds are usually caused by two factors – genetic or hereditary and external factors (e.g. food intake,Canadian Drugstore Shows Genetic Reason of a Fatal Heart Condition Articles Canada prescription side effects, etc.).  In lieu, a new discovery pertaining to the genetic cause of a potentially deadly heart problem known as thoracic aortic dissection was recently exposed.  This critical heart problem was the reason of the unexpected death (even with Canadian prescription drugs ) of actor John Ritter in 2003 at the age of 54.

Genetic researchers at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and the Baylor College of Medicine discovered that individuals with replications in DNA in a region of chromosome 16, named 16p13.1, have a 12-fold boosted risk for thoracic aortic aneurysm, an irregular lump brought about by the weak spot in the wall of the aorta, the biggest artery in the body. The aneurysm can result to an aortic dissection – a regularly lethal tear in the aorta.

"The results of this study could affect clinical care because it appears patients with 16p13.1 duplications have an aggressive form of the thoracic aortic disease that causes aneurysms to dissect at smaller diameters," according to Dr. Dianna Milewicz in a journal news release, Professor and the President George H.W. Bush Chair in Cardiovascular Research, and Director of the Medical Genetics Division at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

"Once doctors are able to use the entire genome, people with duplications in 16p13.1 would need to have their aortas monitored," Milewicz added.

Statistics show that around 10,000 people in the United States die annually because of thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection, which makes it the 15th primary reason of mortality in the country, based on the background information in the journal news release.

Though aneurysms commonly have no inevitable symptoms till they dissect or enlarge tremendously, U.S. National Library of Medicine said that the most widespread indication of aortic dissection is an unexpected acute onset of chest ache illustrated as a severe, ripping feeling.
