Eating Better to Help You Eliminate Cellulite

Eat a lot of raw fruits and vegetables. Including some prepared vegetables in your diet is okay but nutrients are often lost during the cooking process so raw is always better. You can also have salads with light or low fat dressings and fresh vegetable juice. Yogurt with fresh fruit is a great idea, as are skim milk and low fat cheese. Lean meat, poultry and fish can also be helpful, but only when eaten in moderation. Be sure to roast or broil the meat, not fry it. Also drink between 6 and 8 glasses of water throughout the course of the day, as water helps to purge toxins from your body and keep you hydrated.
Why Eliminate Salt?
One of the primary reasons for cellulite is water caught in a pocket of connective tissue beneath your skin. Sodium increases your water retention. The simplest way to get rid of salt is to avoid junk food, since they frequently use salt as a preservative. Also try to avoid foods which are naturally rich in salt and do not add salt when you are cooking. Replacing a dash of salt with a pinch of a different seasoning will add taste to your meal without leading to water retention.

Your thyroid depends on iodine to manage your metabolism and increased iodine means your body burns off unwanted fat, rather than storing it as cellulite. Many vegetables and fruit contain iodine naturally which means you should not have to supplement your intake.
