It would probably be a short list to come up with a list of Hollywood stars who have not had plastic surgery since it almost a part of the Hollywood culture to alter your appearance and attempt to avoid the natural signs of aging and growing old in front of the public that remembers and love you from the movie you did ten years ago. Unfortunately even if your image has been frozen in time you haven't and the signs of aging are everywhere.

Even stars that don't look they need much help in the looks department like Britney Spears and Courtney Cox are rumored to have been the patients of cosmetic surgery at some point to help them keep their signature beauty and looks. Love it or hate it though plastic surgery is here to stay and has made an impact on our Hollywood culture and our own. Cosmetic surgery is the go to option for the Hollywood elite who must compete not only against other actors but must also compete against the younger versions of themselves.

Michelle Pfeiffer is an actress who has managed to do just that. Michelle has managed to age with so few telling signs of her age that she could still give her younger version a run for the money. But for most of Hollywood- the drive for a flat tummy,Plastic Surgery Hollywood Style Articles perfect skin and an ageless face are not only expected for success as an actor but necessary. Even those people who are famous for nothing more than being famous like Paris Hilton for example, plastic surgery is one way to stay in the spot light and stretch out their fifteen minutes of fame by looking better for each photo opportunity that comes along.

Ironically it is those same glossy photos of the stars that grace magazine covers at every check out that make most women hate their bodies and wish they had the perfection of the stars that grace the covers. But would anyone in Hollywood look so perfect and flaw free without plastic surgery? Cosmetic surgery may not have evolved to make actors look perfect but cosmetic surgery has certainly been embraced by Hollywood and this has helped to make many cosmetic procedures a household word.

Hollywood has also taught us that plastic surgery can go too far. Look at Kenny Rogers for example or the late Patrick Swayze both of whom had face lifts that left them with a perpetual look of surprise on their faces and did little to enhance their rugged good looks as much as it distracted from it. Michael Jackson is another Hollywood name who will likely be remembered more for his extreme cosmetic surgery than anything else. By the time Jackson died his nose had been so altered from rhinoplasty there wasn't much left to make of it other than a running joke.

Cosmetic surgery should be used sparingly and with great care to avoid becoming a Hollywood warning story even if you're not planning to become a Hollywood actor.
