Many of those choices are driven by needs. I also have a need to make a living, keep my possessions in good repair, maintain my health, and keep myself safe. But what often happens with people is that those needs override the option to choose one's life.
For me, life is like being in a candy store. I have the freedom to choose my day. I can choose what to wear, what to think, with whom to talk, and the activities that will bring me the most fulfillment. Many of those choices are driven by needs. I also have a need to make a living, keep my possessions in good repair, maintain my health, and keep myself safe. But what often happens with people is that those needs override the option to choose one's life.
Does my life run me or do I run my life? It all boils down to focus.
Let's say you want to make more of your life than you are currently experiencing. In order to focus on what you want, you need to have a crystal clear picture of the thing you desire. This desire needs to be so important to you that you will want to pay attention to it, nurture it, and give up other things that take time so you can make that thing an all consuming passion. You need to attach emotion to it for your brain to recognize that it's important enough to establish new neural networks and consequent behaviors around it. So, to expand out of the realm of your current limited belief, set goals that are 2 to 3 times beyond what you think you can obtain.
Don't allow yourself to be limited by what you think is possible.
Allow yourself to think and imagine beyond your limits. If it has been done by anyone, it can be done by you. You do deserve whatever your heart desires or that desire wouldn't have been put there by Divine Presence in the first place. So, let you mind grow and think big. After all, what if what you want can really be true? Allow yourself to think of the future in terms of it already having happened—like you are looking back at it and seeing what happened to get you to where you want to be. Be there already in your mind and heart. Feel it like it has already happened and the law of attraction will go into action for you.
Today, just focus on your top desire. Many people have so many desires their energy becomes diffused and they can't manifest. So, focus on one thing and let it be big enough and so all consuming that its manifestation will bring so much fulfillment that it will invariably lead you to the next great goal in your life.
