When PMS Causes Tiredness
There are many stages in a woman’s life that cause fatigue. This is primarily because of hormonal imbalance. One popular occurrence is during PMS or premenstrual cycle.

How does PMS cause fatigue to females? The main reason for this, as mentioned earlier, is the hormonal imbalance. The amount of female hormones namely progesterone and estrogen that are being produced differ from the normal. For instance, estrogen is very important for the health of women because it prevents certain illnesses such as breast cancer. It also fights the bad cholesterol which makes people feel heavy and tired all the time. Without the adequate amount of estrogen in the body, some systems will not be able to operate well. Hormonal imbalance can also affect the natural biochemical rhythm of people negatively. The biochemical rhythm is the natural process of cell division in the body. When this is disrupted, cell division and production will slow down. As a result, the body will not be able to repair itself quickly and effectively. Aside from the biochemical rhythm, the neurotransmitters are also affected during menstruation or pre-menstruation. Transportation of signals to and from the brain slows down when a woman is near the end of her period.
Many women get extremely anxious whenever their menstrual cycles come with fatigue. This is because tiredness affects the productiveness of people when doing some work. Tiredness is not always negative though. Who knows? It can be your excuse to your boss to have a rest and enjoy your time at home away from work. Just remember that PMS and fatigue are extremely normal for many people.
The best way to deal with fatigue during PMS is to relax. If you are feeling tired already, take a break and take a deep breath. Learn how to breathe through life and do not suffocate yourself with too much work. For instance, you can go on a short trip or watch a movie in your house. You must also keep your body healthy. If you are healthy, the body will repay you with energy. Now, if you are really too worried, you can consult your doctor.
