Packers and movers provide you both full and partial moving services. This means you can hire them for complete household relocation services in India or you can hire them only for packing your possessions or goods transportation services. Packers and mover charges depend on your specific requirements.

Packers and movers charges for local complete household shifting service are approx. Rs. 5,000 –  Rs. 15,000. Intercity Packers and movers charges range from. Rs. 7,000 – Rs. 50,000. The charges vary depending on the number of goods and services you need.

And if you have decided to do it yourself and not hiring packers and movers services then you will have to book a truck rental. The charges of a truck on rent are based on per km.  The charges for truck on rent from 0-5km is approx. Rs. 700. For up to 25 km the charges will be Rs. 40/km.

Packing cost

If you will pack your belongings by yourself then you will have to buy packaging materials like bubble wrap, carton boxes, cardboard boxes, scissors, packing tape, masking tape, marker, etc. Try to collect boxes free of cost. You can get carton boxes from a local vendor. Arrange free packing materials as much as possible.

Plan how you and your family members will travel from your current city to the new city. Consider flight or train tickets, or car rental charges, etc.

While packing your stuff you will be realizing that there are a few things that you will be needing. Also, you will have to buy a few things after moving into a new house whether it’s a new furniture piece, flower vases, carpet, rugs, etc.
