Summit Matsu Chilling Systems supplied them with the 34 kW air cooled chiller needed in this process.  A W Bell has had their chiller for one and a half years and is satisfied with the performance to this day and it is expected to have a much longer life ahead of it still.

AW Bell has been an established company since 1952,A W Bell makes recycling water a priority by using a Summit Matsu chilling system in their jet clean Articles from this time it has experienced significant growth having originally begun as a patternmaker.  Today the business has a main focus on investment casting foundry and has grown to the point that it now employs over 100 people.  They are a premiere supplier of complex metal parts using rapid prototyping, investment casting, sand casting and production machining technologies.

The chilling system supplied by Summit Matsu is used in conjunction with AW Bells water jet cleaning process of foundry applications such as metal castings.  The water jet pump uses 100 hoarse power which is the high pressure level required to clean the casting, in the process however using up a lot of water.

As AW Bell is dedicated to conserving the environment wherever possible in their business processes, they called on Summit Matsu Chilling Systems to supply them with the chiller used in their water recycling process.  During the recycling process the temperature of the water increases, but in order to recycle the water the temperature needs to be kept cool.  Without the chiller, if the water gets to a certain temperature it can’t run through the pump to be recycled which is why the chiller plays an important role in this process, by keeping the water cool and ultimately enabling the water recycling process and conserving water used in the jet cleaning process.

To AW Bell the chiller is an important part of the process which they rely upon for the cleaning of metal castings.  Steve Murtagh a representative from AW Bell explains the scenario of a chiller break down “Part of your production is down, it is (the chiller) a major component.” As AW Bell is ISO 9001 and ISO 12001 accredited they are committed to reducing waste and are ensured to be able to continue to act out on their beliefs for conserving the environment with a reliable chilling system.

Furthermore as both companies are based locally in Australia, it was a convenience in terms of shipping for AW Bell and for Summit Matsu it makes it easy for them to keep in contact with AW Bell if ever there are any problems to arise with the chiller, the Summit engineers are close by to assist as they understand how crucial it is that the chiller is maintained in excellent working order.

Summit Matsu chilling systems has been in this industry for over 45 years and in this time has developed an inimitable expert level of skills and knowledge for manufacturing and servicing chilling systems.  Summit Matsu Chilling Systems as a company has learnt that quality starts with using the best parts available and only hiring employees that are highly trained and educated in order to be able to perform to the standard set out by Matsu when on the job.
