My journey as a business owner has been about integrating my professional knowledge with my spiritual understanding. I refer to this state of mind as “Business Peace.” Gaining clarity and obtaining business peace is possible if you are committed and willing to dig deep.
My journey as a business owner has been about integrating my professional knowledge with my spiritual understanding. When those two things merge, magic happens. I like to refer to this state of mind as “Business Peace.”
But I’ve had tough times, too, including four corporate layoffs, four major breakdowns and episodes of what I call the “dark-nights-of-the-business-soul.” In fact, I’m feeling one right now. I’m not inspired, I’m prone to fearful thoughts about money, I’m physically exhausted and I can feel that something is just not right with my business, but I don’t see it clearly yet.
Because I’ve gone through this before, I know the key to surviving it – and coming out ahead – is finding clarity about what these “dark nights” really mean.
I’ve always noticed that these tough times always seem to contain the seed of some really big business breakthrough and I’m sure that the same is true for you. The tricky part is stepping up to your business in a new way, peeling back the layers and getting down to the honest truth behind your failures.
It's about tapping into your heart, intuition and instinct to find the clarity about your business that will take you to the next level. It’s about building on the Law of Attraction, which says that if we are positive and focused on what we really, truly want, we can draw certain things and certain types of people to us.
When I embrace my fear, resistance and failures and look from the inside out, something amazing happens: a business AND life that feels good. When you do this, you may find the next level of financial success or your next level of peace and enjoyment with your business. You may even finally feel the freedom you were seeking when you first started your business.
Gaining clarity from your “dark-nights-of-the-business-soul” and obtaining business peace is possible if you are committed and willing to dig deep. As an old proverb says, “To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own path, and don't worry about the darkness, for that is when the stars shine brightest.”
Entrepreneurship – The Road Less Traveled
I believe that life is a journey, and just like any journey, it has some bumps in the road along the way. For me, those “bumps” came in the form of three layoffs in two years. I thought, “This is my life. I need to create a way for it to support me and bring me freedom and joy.” So… I started on that journey of entrepreneurship. What I Learned From A Glitch – And A Rabbit
How did I learn how vital it is to be conscious about your marketing? By working with entrepreneurs! In fact, it's the core strategy behind what I teach, and it’s why I named my business Conscious Marketing. But here's where my head got in the way of my heart: I had an extensive marketing background. I played hardball with some of the top advertising agencies. I thought I had it going on! I didn't think I needed any help from a coach or a mentor, because I already had all the answers. I was wrong.Everyone Needs a Soapbox!
I was kicked out of corporate America. Literally. I was let go three times in two years! It was difficult at the time, but now I see - the struggle had a purpose. Because of that trial, I found my true calling: helping business owners find their voice, get on that soapbox, and attract in their ideal clients like moths to light.
