True leaders understand the difference between success and significance.  It is not as important that a leader make a financial fortune if they are not making a significant difference in the lives of those he/she leads.  The root of true leadership is individual relationships.  Relationships are developed and grown; they are a true example of the law of the harvest.

The most important relationship that must be developed is the one with yourself.  It requires an education in correct life principles and application of those principles to produce the correct results.  The source of these correct principles and education materials is found the Personal Development industry.

The Personal Development industry is a booming business because it sells “life education” and all the principles that need to be understood and lived by in order to be successful, and even more important,Success vs. Significance – True Leaders Understand The Difference Articles create significance in your own life and in the lives of others.  At the forefront of the Personal Development industry is Success University.  Success University is just that – a center of learning success principles.  Success University provides the materials of learning, and it can be a home-based business as well since marketing for Success University is word-of-mouth.  Yes, it is a network marketing company.  Success University will be a household name within a few years because of the phenomenal resource that it is.

The leadership team within Success University is incredible.  They understand the difference between significance and success.  As an example, Matt Morris is the President of Success University, and because of some rough things he has gone through in his life, he wants to create a world where every child hears the words, “I love you.”  He also is driven to create a world where no one goes hungry.  He has created a very powerful partnership with the charity “Feed the Children” to see that his vision is happening.  He understands the significance is making a difference in other people’s lives.

As you seek a leader to follow, or seek to become a leader for others to follow, work toward making a difference in other’s lives.  Adding value to other’s lives is had the heart of significance-based leadership.  Being solely driven by money, fame, or glory will leave you and those you lead empty.  It is great to have all the things money can buy, but it is even more significant to have the things money can’t buy:  true friends, a loving family, a home, peace of mind, good health, hope, gratitude, and much more.

Be a true leader and seek for significance, and success will inevitably follow.

God bless you in your life of success and significance.
