one marketing thought that has outlasted most other advertising activities is the coffee cup, only mainly because most adults are coffee drinkers. As well as this straightforward fact, coffee cups are easily personalized to fit the color scheme and emblem of a particular company and they come in a significant number of shapes and sizes ranging from tea cups and standard coffee mugs to stein sized; and shape-wise, there is the standard mug shape, or a wide variety of interesting and more abstract shapes. Like all other advertising resources, coffee cups should be somewhat exclusive as a way to set a firm apart from its competitors. Even if they grab a random cup out of their cabinet, they will still see the company’s logo on the other mug or mugs in the same cabinet. Seeing the company’s logo and information will serve as a mnemonic device, helping them to remember that a certain business offers the products or services that they are looking for.
An excellent way to market to coffee drinkers in addition to the coffee mugs would be to place a small bag of coffee inside the mug. The coffee bag should also be adorned with the company’s logo and contact information. Although, it is imperative for the advertising and promotions department of any company to remember that while promotional gifts are an excellent way to get their name in the public, they still need to have an advertising campaign that utilizes print or audio advertisements. This is simply so the company in question is able to make the most out of their advertising budget instead of simply focusing on using one media for marketing.
