We were discussing contouring in last week’s article but we just covered people with longish oval faces. Today I will continue with the same topic and talk about some other face-cuts.

Let’s start with the sweet round face. Well,Classic Contours Articles first of all one has to have the right haircut to help reduce the effect of the roundness, and then contouring is there to create the magic. You have to cover the sides of your face with straight vertical strokes of the brush, with a terracotta shade. Then cover the jaw line too as when you have a round face it isn’t that prominent and you have to make an effort to make it so with the same contouring technique. You also need a depression in your cheeks for the complete look. For that you have to squeeze in your cheeks and follow the cheek bone with the brush, moving diagonally towards your lips.

Then for the nose; long noses have been discussed previously so this time I’ll talk about slightly wider ones. If you have a nose that doesn’t have a defined shape and you want it to look thinner and a bit sharper, all you have to do is to cover the sides with darker strokes leaving out the up because we don’t want to block the length this time.

Some people have face-cuts that make it difficult to name the shape of face. One such example is a face-cut with a broader jaw line and a narrow forehead and trust me even stylists have a hard time balancing such faces. So the key is not to go for gel-backed hair as that will make your scalp look even smaller and all you have left is a prominent jaw line, which is not at all acceptable.

Therefore please give your hair a little volume on your temples and a slight lift on the head to make a proper round shape, which should balance the width of your head with your jawline. For the contouring you have to cover your jaw line with a terracotta shade, covering it in such a manner that it should slightly cover the bone going towards the cheeks. Then start applying the blusher which should be a little darker towards your ears and a gradual blending towards your lips will give you the desired balanced shape and trust me with this hair and contouring combo you will get a perfectly sculptured look.
