If there’s anything true about this pandemic its this “ Expect the unexpected”

We humans have a tendency to stay in the comfort zone rather than facing the unknown or the uncertain future.

With this CoronaVirus Pandemic everything is uncertain. And when people around you start dying or getting sick or unemployed and struggle to even survive,HOW TO DEAL WITH CHANGE | COVID PANDEMIC Articles your mindset changes. Nothing is normal anymore.

You just have to go with the flow even if the flow is taking you to a place that we are all uncertain and scared about. We have to because  we do not have many choices in hand. Right?

1) ACCEPT THE SITUATION:

This sounds very obvious and also very easy to do. But most of the time, we do not accept the situation.

Having hope and faith that everything would go the way we wish is not good. Faith is supposed to be a foundational backbone for when we fail but we use it the wrong way.

Face the truth and accept the fact that we or the people we know might not be well or alive for very long if this pandemic lasts and the fact that the world would take so very long to go back to the way it was before all this!

Accept it and expect the worst.

When you expect the worst, you will not be surprised by the events that might happen. Just mentally prepare yourself for everything that might hit you in the coming future so you will not be stopped by it.

2) UNDERSTAND THAT CERTAIN THINGS ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL:

Right from trump's new visa rules to the spread of this virus to the wars that China is triggering, nothing is in your control right?

So, when we can’t do much about these events that would severely affect your future plans and dreams, it can get frustrating. We can become anxious.

We are aware that all we need to do is sit back and be patient and watch how things play itself but it’s hard to go through with it right? We need to realize that these things are completely out of our control and we can’t do much about any of this.

Hard thing to digest especially if you are a planner like me who is obsessed about getting things done the way we want.

Well, the world has changed. It’s going to take awhile before it’s back to the way it used to be. So, if you want to study abroad or become a travel youtuber or start your own gym or restaurant, you need to wait this out.

3) MANAGE YOUR STRESS:

When you lose someone and a job and you are worried about survival, stress management might not seem very important but it's essential for survival.

Being stressed over a period of time can get you depressed and cause alot other mental health problems.

Now you must find your own way to deal with the stress of your day to day life. Your routine might have changed completely. I can’t ask you to exercise and write in a journal if you aren’t used to doing that!

But the one thing that I do endorse is “meditation”

Meditation can put things into perspective!

4) HAVE A PLAN:

Expecting the worst is one thing but not preparing for the worse can get nothing.

So study abroad exams are postponed and colleges are conducted online. Millions of people are laid off and many more dislocated and alot more lost their own lives or the lives for their family and friends.

It’s a hard time. Anything can happen. So have a plan, a flexible one.

Hope this article helped
