Another popular site in the social media arena is Twitter.  On Twitter, you can publish instant messages your followers can read and respond to.  As with Facebook, you will want to get as many followers as possible.  The more you have, the more people will be exposed to your messages.

The best thing about Twitter and Facebook is both are free and highly effective.  Most people nowadays have an account on one or both sites.  Making your own accounts and pages allows you to communicate with your target market directly and help increase your brand awareness.

You can also use social media to cater to those who prefer to watch videos rather than read text.  Posting videos to YouTube is a great idea.  There are plenty of categories you can upload videos into.  Helpful and informational videos will be useful to your target market, so they will help to increase your credibility.

There are plenty of other ways that you can use social media.  Make sure you use it on your official website too.  Add a Facebook or Twitter plug-in so visitors can share content easily with their friends. 

You should also consider having two separate website designs.  One design should be for visitors who are browsing on a computer and the other for those on mobile devices like cellphones and tablets.  The easier it is for people to navigate your website, the better it will be for you.
