Reframing is what NLP is all about. It is what self-improvement is all about. NLP and self-improvement are used to reach excellence in any given context: personally, within a family or in a business situation.
NLP and self-improvement teach how to direct your mind to own the best thoughts and feelings possible to achieve any goal that you desire.
Reframing is simply looking at things differently, with another perspective, from different angles. Reframing will give you more choice. The more choice you have, the freer you are, aren't you?
You can send your mind to 4 main directions when it comes to looking at things differently. These 4 main reframing categories are called: deframing, preframing, postframing and outframing.
It is like looking at a box from 4 different angles: from the top, the bottom, the left side and the right side.
When people face a problem or a challenge, they usually tend to stay in the box, without thinking that it's possible to think out of the box, to see the box from different angles in order to see possible solutions.
The solution is usually not in the box itself, unless you turn the box upside down.
But in order to move the box or look at the box with another perspective you need to master a skill. This skill will enable you to solve any problem, to be happy when everybody else isn't, feel at peace when everybody else is in a state of turmoil, and feel financially free when everybody else thinks you're broke.
This skill is not unknown. In fact everybody, including you, is using it all the time. The problem is that you're using it unconsciously. When you become aware of it and use it consciously, whenever you decide, it becomes the most powerful skill you'll ever learn.
The skill is to step back.
Stepping back from a situation will enable you to look at things differently. It will enable you to solve any problem. The mind can do that easily. So next time you face a challenge, put your challenge in a box, and imagine that you are looking at the box from the top, and then from the right, and then from the bottom, and then from the left. Notice how things have just changed. Notice how your challenge has evolved and has just become your best experience. All of that is possible when you master the specific skill of stepping back.
