Tips on how to organize an Office Christmas Party

If you want to make your office Christmas party to be successful and memorable to everyone here are some tips you can follow.  One of the major things you have to do is plan early and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
a. Choose the date, place and time.  Decide when to do it, is it an after-office party, catered event, in a restaurant or country club.  If will be a difficult task to please everyone so don’t mind it too much.  Choose your date as early as possible the closer Christmas it is, the harder to set the date.  Choose 3 days to announce the activity in your office to avoid cramming.
b. Know who will shoulder the expenses.  Whether it’s going to be shouldered by the company or not, if yes, it’s good news for everyone.  Your next problem would be how to spend your budget.  If some of your colleagues are going to shoulder some expenses like the management level people then prepare your paper and calculator to properly compute everything.  Some companies do allow their employees to bring someone with them, like their love one etc.  Know the company policies.
c. Arrange for the entertainment.   After setting the date, venue and food check the remaining budget on how it will use for the entertainment. Is it going to be a band, magician or a stage comedian?  If you’re going to get one of the mentioned above be sure that there are lots of recommendations, so expectations will be meet.
d. Plan some games or fun activities.  One fun activity is to let everyone bring their baby picture and write their names at the back, collect them all and put it on an easel board.  You can have you r first, second and third winners for those who will be able to recognize somebody from the picture. 
e. Decided if liquor is going to be served or it’s going to be free from the bar.  There are lots of companies who do not allow alcoholic drinks during the party, double check on your company’s policies.  Christmas party is one of the most highlighted events in a year you can make it a successful and memorable just by following the tips above as your guide.
