In an email exchange, don’t write your autobiography

One of the best ways to turn off a woman is not knowing how to shut up. If you don’t believe this is true, try sending her a long email detailing what you like to do on weekends, and then see what kind of response you’ll get. Nine out of ten women won’t even bother sending a reply. They’ll simply delete your message and move on to the next guy.

What’s the reason behind this? For starters, women generally regard wordy guys as needy. Unfortunately for them, most women love a challenge, and needy guys aren’t challenging. Second, women love to talk, and they want guys to listen.

What to do: Keep all your email messages short ideally, not longer than three sentences. The first two should be your answer to her question, and the last should be for asking her a question. Keep in mind that questions are essential to keep the exchange going, and give her a sense of your thoughtfulness and interest.

Don’t start any kind of sex talk

A lot of women think that guys have nothing but sex on their minds. Although there is some truth to this, you’ll progress further in the game by not talking about or even hinting about sex. Besides, you wouldn’t want to take the chance of offending women with sex talk, especially if you don’t even know them that much yet.

What to do: Simply not doing it.

You might even be surprised by the number of women who actually initiate the sex talk. If this happens, this is a clear green light, although it may be prudent to share your comments that are well thought out.

Don’t lie

It is a well-known fact that a considerable percentage of both men and women lie about themselves online. Whether it’s about their marital status, educational attainment, income, or occupation, this happens a lot when creating their own online adult dating profile.

One should believe that all the lies you’ve said will catch up to you sooner than later. So if you lied to a woman who is interested in you, it’s just a matter of time before she finds out the truth.

What to do: If you think you have qualities that aren’t worth noting, simply “upsell” your other more brag-worthy traits. Focus on the positives instead.
