With such a wide range of electric golf trolleys to choose from,Buying Your First Electric Golf Trolley Articles it can be a daunting task for the first time buyer to choose one which is right for them. Cost is probably the first factor a first time buyer will consider, as not many of us have an infinite budget. However good value for money is probably more important than cost.

Looking at an entry level golf trolley for between £200 and £400 is probably a good place to start if your funds are limited, although it may be worth spending a little more if the less expensive electric golf trolleys don't have some of the features you're looking for.

Many people get excited by certain features such as a remote control, which would save them time and energy by making the trolley come to them instead of having to continuously having to fetch it. Other 'bells and whistles' can include a distance function, enabling the trolley to be 'sent' ahead.

Whilst sounding impressive, such features should not be what you're primarily looking for. More importantly is the build quality, the weight and the battery life. You don't want to purchase a lower priced electric trolley only to find parts falling off it by the twelfth hole, or having the battery fail by the fifteenth hole. And especially of you're an older golfer, you don't want to struggle getting it in and out of the car boot.

Obviously the more you spend the better quality trolley you're going to get. But this doesn't mean you need to break the bank. Ensuring the battery life is long enough to cater for the number of holes you generally play, and taking weight and build quality into account, you can buy an electric golf trolley which will suit your budget and give you a good few years of service.

If you're buying in your local golf suppliers, have a chat with the staff. Ask if the quoted weight includes the battery or not. Ask if they've had any returns and what the reasons were. You can also ask your fellow golfers in the nineteenth hole if they have any recommendations or condemnations.

If you'd rather buy an electric golf trolley on the internet to take advantage of the reduced prices available, check if there are any reviews of the golf trolleys you're considering. You'll be surprised how many items are advertised as lightweight, yet the reviews say otherwise.

Like everything in life, taking the time to consider your options and your needs will pay off in the end.
