One long-running enthusiast called Daniel who is the human evolutionary biologist in Harvard made up his mind to seek the answer of this question. He and his colleagues surveyed two hundred long runners including running with sports shoes and no shoes on who came from America and a certain province famous for its special perseverance. Daniel and his colleagues got a series experience concerning with shoes from these runners. And the experience can be divided into several types that are adults who run with shoes from their childhood,
people who run without shoes at youth but with shoes in older age and people who run never with shoes on. Daniel team made a survey among these people. There are two groups in each type including runners with shoes on and no shoes on. If people run with shoes on, they will choose shoes from their own ones or GEL-Cumulus 10s running shoes. The pace of runners and how running shoes affect body were examined in this experiment.
It took no long time for studiers to find the diversity. The heels of runners with shoes on came to the ground while the big toes or flat feet of runners with no shoes on came to the land. More lines were produced in the arch of the foot, ankle joints and knees when runners run with no shoes on. Meanwhile running with no shoes required more steps and muscles in calf so that it can decrease the opposite force towards body and enable runners enjoy running leisurely. Runners with no shoes on felt the impact force which is 0.5 to 0.7 times of his own weight at the moment of feet crashing on the ground while runners with shoes on felt his heels accepting 1.5 to 2 times of his own weight which are three to four times of runners with no shoes on.
Daniel was so surprised to say that I used to think that people who run with no shoes on are crazy and usually got hurt. Running with no shoes on can deaden the pains and decrease joints wearing possibility and this study result will be published in one magazine. The pressure and impact force caused various hurts in long running such as shin splints and planter fasciitis.
The study of Harvard showed that running with no shoes on is better. Daniel, a Harvard professor, stated that running with no shoes on is better than with shoes on based on his study and his point was published in Nature recently. The study showed that running with no shoes on can avoid more hurts in feet because our heels coming to the land first when we run with shoes while soles of feet coming to the ground first when we run without shoes.
