Linda and Her New Bluetooth Headset

Rrrrrinngg…rrring….The alarm sounded at exactly 4AM. Linda woke up at the first alarm for she slept early last night, hoping to be early in her first day of work at a prestigious Company.  She slipped on a pink dress and grabbed her bag. And off she headed to the bus terminal to catch the first trip.

While onboard the bus, she managed to open her cell phone and see her reminders of the list of things to bring for today’s first day of work. And realized she forgot her Bluetooth Headset. She suddenly felt uneasy. How will she manage the work today without her Bluetooth Headset?

As she entered the lobby of the 5 storey building, she still manage to smile to everyone she meets. She was then greeted by a man in black and gray suit. He seemed pleased with Linda, her new secretary.

As she entered the room she greeted, the Senior Vice President for Marketing operations of the Company where she work, his work primarily involves strategic advertising and effective cost-benefit analysis of marketing costs for the cell phones and cell phone accessories of the company.  As the Senior Vice President Secretary, Linda is tasked to communicate with potential advertising agencies and freelance ad contractors. On top of this, she is responsible for his Boss’ day-to-day goings in and out like schedule engagements or make appointments. With these and other tasks usually hold by a typical secretary even to the extent of pacifying demanding clients or dealing with annoying customers, Linda is practically on for a busy first day of work.

The Senior Vice President, after briefing her of her responsibilities, held out a small box. “This is a welcome gift from me. You may open it right away.” As he watched, Linda hurriedly opens the box and beholds: a Bluetooth Headset! “Thank you so much sir. This is more than enough for someone who hasn’t even started working yet!” Was all Linda managed to say. She didn’t mention at all that she forgot to bring her own Bluetooth Headset. Her new Bluetooth Headset is obviously the latest model.  She excitedly slipped on her right ear and began pairing it with her Blackberry.

As her boss bid goodbye to her to catch the 9am flight to Miami, she proceeded to go over with the incoming work schedule for the day. First on the list is to call potential freelance advertising consultants and schedule their interviews. Next on the list is to organize a meeting with all the marketing staff. Other tasks include making reviews of the upcoming product promotions. These tasks and more can be physically draining without the aid of a Bluetooth Headset. The Bluetooth Headset proved to be very effective for multi-tasking and field related works.

The Bluetooth Headset is a symbol of recognition and acceptance. For Linda, she will use it every day in her work because it is a reminder that the Company deserves her loyalty and 100% job performance. Beyond that, she will also promote the product to her family, relatives.
