Programs for password management are becoming more and more essential for our everyday life. Day by day the volumes of information to keep in mind grow and it's getting really hard to do without a good software assistant.

Choosing the best password manager program is not a trivial matter because today there are so many of them available,Not the easiest choice: what password manager is best for you? Articles and at first glance they don't differ in anything accept user's interface. But there are a lot of factors one should look into before pick out a program.

My first password manager was KeyWallet. I did love it for easy interface and great user-friendliness. But then I started to look for a manager that can integrate to my Firefox and be installed on a flash key. I've tried three: Aurora, Handy Password and Cute Password Manager. Anyway, if you are trying to make a choice look thoroughly for the following features:

  • Security. Why else did we start all this stuff? Security includes not only encryption and auto filling. It is important that a password manager program should have a multiuser interface.
  • Compatibility. Pick out one that is compatible with your OS and favorite browser (if you're going to use it as a toolbar).
  • Ease of use. You should easily work with the program: know how to save, change and fill your passwords.

The final choice depends on additional features set (built-in password generator, form filler and other), interface and other preferences.
