HOW ARE 2D HOLOGRAMS A BULWARK TO YOUR CREATION?

Any brand is a brand, only when the customers, the supreme boss of the market, count upon the respective products and articles on that particular brand. However, turn to the other side of the coin and you could easily discover that the articles and products of the so called ‘brand’ pervade the streets and bazaars of any city. Moreover, it attracts a restless crowd, as the hawkers sell those so called ‘branded’ articles at a relatively low price. It is a serious case of counterfeiting. The market here, dance at the whims of the fake and insatiable manufactures and retailers respectively. In the prevailing circumstances, one hardly bothers to find out, what a 2D hologram is and how does it work? 

Although, the science of Holography was invented in the year 1947 but it was valued only when the Laser (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) beams were developed in the year 1960. The perfect use of lights, lenses and photographic plates give birth to authenticity and identity in the form of a 2D hologram. These Holograms are embossed with the words, picture and signs which are almost impossible to replicate.

Undoubtedly, it is a bulwark against counterfeiting but only when you are familiar with it.

Vikram Singh, who runs a ready-made apparel shop, says, “Who knows that what they sell at the showrooms in the malls is genuine. The glittering stickers can always be tampered. Moreover, the customers hardly know how to check the authenticity.” It can possibly be tampered, but you would be surprised to know that despite being tampered, the 2D hologram’s residue lives to serve your varied interests.       

Gone are the days of infancy, when the customers scrutinized an article or a product, before getting convinced to have bought it. Slowly and gradually, the supreme boss of the market has turned to be reluctant. The customers now hardly find time to verify the authenticity and originality of a particular product. “I don’t know what they send to me. I just order online, whatever I want. They deliver my order at my doorsteps and it saves a lot of time for me. I am least bothered to check for the 2D or 3D Holograms. I do not know how to verify the label bearing the signs of authenticity,” said Shiraj Shiekh, a voracious reader. 

2D holograms are a perfect safeguard to your mind’s baby, not because it is almost impossible to replicate, but because there are myriad methods by which it protects your creation. For extra security, it consists of hidden text like VOID or CANCELLED, inside the sticker. Whenever the hologram sticker is tampered with pressure, the sticker residue will live to show these hidden texts. Apart from this, there are Laser readable hidden texts on the sticker. This can only be read when a Laser pointer is directed to the sticker. Moreover, these stickers also consist of the micro-text or images, which cannot be read with eyes naked. It happens to be possible only through a magnifying glass.
