Kearns still isn’t an official city but is a great place to find a home
In 1848, Kearns Utah was settled along the Jordan River but didn’t grow too much until an air force base was built during World War II. In 1946, the base closed and the locals took over. Kearns still isn’t an official city but a community council is expected to move that direction soon. Not too far away is the Utah Olympic Oval where the long-track speed skating events were held in the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. In the summertime, the facility is open to the public for skating.
With large decreases in home prices, Kearns Real Estate is even more affordable and is averaging sales prices of about $150,000.
