Relocating to Payson

With a population of 17,115, Payson Utah has steadily grown since it became a city in 1850.  Homes in Payson have increased to 3,876 and median income is $54,535.  Almost one quarter of the population rents.

Payson is the entrance in the north to the Nebo Scenic Byway.  This exciting excursion has views of the tallest mountain in the Wasatch Mountains.  During the summer, the community celebrates with many fun events such as Onion Days, the Salmon Supper, the Scottish Festival, and concerts in a local park.  The Gladstan Golf Course is also a local favorite.  To remember the area’s strong history, the Peteetneet Museum and Cultural Arts Center is the place to go.

Climate norms in Payson are not too different from the rest of the area.  16 inches of rain and 53 inches of snow fall on an annual basis.  The average July high is 93 degrees and the January low is about 19.
