Change Yourself

They were all wearing amazing clothes but somehow I felt all had not washed their faces for a long time. I know it’s blunt thing to say, but that’s the distinct impression I got. So for some time I assumed that maybe men were supposed to look like that. But again my stylist’s instinct was not satisfied by this conclusion. I felt I should advise them that they needed to make an effort to look better; that effort is just washing the face carefully.

I kept thinking about how to tell them and of course I had to make it as diplomatic and pleasant as possible because men are very proud beings. So at that party I saw this friend of mine standing with a group where I could see a lot of dull looking men. I thought it would be a nice idea if I joined them and that’s what I did. My friend introduced me to them and I could see that it would be hard for them to digest that I did make up and was a stylist.

Then a few actually asked me if I was wearing makeup, which was so funny that I couldn’t was natural as I take the trouble to take care of my skin. “TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN!” one of them exclaimed shocked and the next thing that I heard was, “Isn’t it a girl’s thing?” This time I didn’t hesitate to tell them the truth about what I was thinking when I first saw them. Some of them got offended but who caredas all I wanted was for them to look better. So I went on with the conversation and told them that those days were gone when men used to be very proud of their rough and tough looks. WAKE UP EVERY ONE. Its 2009 and I could see that they started taking an interest in what I was saying.
