The HTC Gratia is a new Android smartphone which offers a wealth of impressive features all encased within a compact handset. It is an effective camera phone, web browser and social networking device all running on Android 2.2.

In order to take advantage of local wireless Internet routers in commercial, domestic and public locations, the HTC Gratia comes with full Wi-Fi connectivity.  Should users not have the appropriate access to wireless networks, they can take advantage of 3G coverage, whereby an HSDPA connection provides download speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second.  Both of these options make the HTC Gratia an impressive web browsing device.

 

The HTC Gratia is also a competent cameraphone with a 5 mega pixel unit located on the back of the handset.  This operates at 2592x 1944 pixels resulting in great quality still images.  The task of taking them is made all the more simple thanks to Autofocus and face detection included as standard.  Geo-tagging is another feature of the camera which functions thanks to GPS and allows users to keep tabs of where they took their photos.  Users also have the luxury of being able to shoot video footage with the camera, as an alternative to taking still images.

 

Android Froyo (version 2.2) is the operating system of choice, this works alongside a 600 MHz Qualcomm processor which allows even demanding applications to run with ease. Access to the Android Market allows users to browse thousands of apps from many different categories, and download them to their hearts content.  This means that the sky’s the limit in terms of customisation and functionality of the HTC Gratia.
