The HTC Gratia is one of the most compact Smartphone to be released in recent times. It is pocket friendly and lightweight, yet does not make it any less functional than many of its counterparts in the android Smartphone market.

As well as the standard vibration feature, users are alerted to incoming calls via ringing with the added bonus of being able to assign your own MP3 acts for this purpose.  In order to carry out handsfree calls, the HTC Gratia comes with a built in speakerphone system as well as a 3.5 millimetre headset jack.  The latter can accommodate earphones for listening to music via the internal media player, as well as handsfree headsets.

 

The HTC Gratia comes with a micro SD card slot which comes with a pre-installed 2 GB memory card.  Should users require further storage; this can be replaced with a card of up to 32 GB, meaning that entire digital music collections can be stored on the phone, as can any video files and pictures.

 

In areas with 3G coverage, users have the HTC Gratia are able to enjoy download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, whereas an even faster connection can be attained thanks to the handset boasting full Wi-Fi connectivity.  This works by utilising the signals emitted by wireless Internet routers, be they in commercial, domestic or public locations.  Both Bluetooth and micro USB are provided as standard which allow users to connect to compatible hardware devices whereby a number of different tasks can be carried out.

 

Despite its small size, the HTC Gratia packs a surprisingly powerful digital camera.  Boasting five mega pixels, incorporated a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944, and comes with auto-focus and face detection as standard meaning that taking high quality photos is relatively simple.  Geo-tagging is another included feature of the camera, and this works thanks to GPS.  It allows users to keep track of where they took their photos and shows this on a map.  As an alternative to taking still images, users can also take advantage of the cameras ability to shoot video footage.

 

The winning combination of the Android operating system, in this case v2.2 (Froyo) and a Qualcomm processor (600 MHz) mean that users are assured a great user experience a fast Internet browsing speeds and loading of apps.  Access to the android market means users can browse and download additional apps, both free and paid depending on the app.

 

The HTC Gratia is a compact handset; however it does not sacrifice its features and specifications to make its compact dimensions possible. Whilst many of the Android smartphones on the market are relatively large, HTC is aiming to cater for those who would still like a smaller mobile phone, but with all the features of an Android smartphone. Because of this, you can expect to see a lot more of the HTC Gratia.
