Multiple Uses for your Portable Carport

There is a lot to be said about a portable carport, there are many people who would find a carport handy and they can be used for many other things besides just as a carport. Let's take a look who may want a portable carport as well as at some other things that a carport can be used for.

First, besides a homeowner using a portable carport for keeping cars and other equipment out of the weather, a portable carport is perfect for a renter. Often when you rent, you have to settle for what you can find that will fit your budget, so you may end up in a smaller place, or sacrifice something such as the garage. So, if you rent and either don't have a garage, or have to use your garage for storage due to lack of space, a portable carport may be perfect for you. You can set it up, use it to protect your vehicles from sun or snow, and take it with you when you go.

Now, there are a couple of different styles of portable carports. Almost all have a metal or pole frame, and then there is some sort of cover. The cover's can vary, some are metal and other's are soft. There can be just an overhead cover, or it may have sides. Sometimes the sides are removable so you have the option to use them or not. Generally, just the soft sided ones are considered truly portable, but even the metal carports can be taken down and moved. Since the soft top structures are so easy to set up and take down, they are suitable for many other purposes as well. Here are just a few, hopefully they will get you thinking of other ideas of how one can be used.

If you have a portable carport, it can function as an outdoor party tent for any large, outdoor gathering. Such events might include a wedding, a special party, or a family reunion. If your carport has a white cover, it would be a bit classier than some other color, but it would really depend upon the function.

Our small town has a Farmer's Market, and in the heat of hot summer day, some shade is really appreciated. A portable carport can work quite well if it is just small one. Though it also depends upon what you are selling. If your booth is small (which many are), perhaps you could share with your neighbor so that you can both be cool. Plus, people are likely to linger longer looking at what you have to offer if they can get out of the sun for a bit. Likewise, they also work great for outdoor fair booths.

An outdoor car show is perfect for a portable carport. Many town's have an oldies car show, often in the middle of the summer. If you are taking a car to display at the show, the carport is a perfect cover. It is, obviously, large enough to put your car underneath, it offers the same shade benefits as at a Farmer's market, plus it keeps your car from getting too hot, inside and out!

As you can see, a portable carport can be real handy for a variety of reasons. Whether as a renter, using it for your car, a family function, a cover for a small business or cause at an outdoor market, or for showing off your auto at a show, you may be grateful for that portable carport when everybody else is sweltering in the sun!
